Genmaicha Green Tea international-genmaicha-green-tea-home

Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese green tea that is also known as “popcorn tea” due to the grains of rice that pop during the roasting process. The roasted rice lends to a rich and nutty aroma that blends perfectly with the fresh flavor of green tea.

Earl Grey Tea

Earl Grey Tea is a timeless classic that first became popular in England. Black tea is flavored with oil of bergamot, adding a sweet and light citrus aroma. The pleasant and fresh finish after each sip makes Earl Grey a perfect afternoon tea.

English Breakfast Tea

English Breakfast Tea is one of the world’s most popular black tea blends recognized by its robust and full-bodied flavor originating from Assam, Ceylon, and Kenya. We added a twist to this classic by adding Taiwan Black Tea leaves to the traditional blend. Enjoy with a splash of milk for a creamier texture.

Honeybush Tea (Caffeine-Free)

Honeybush Tea is cultivated during the flowering period of the honeybush plant, which is only grown in small areas of South Africa. This naturally caffeine-free tea has a distinctive honey taste and is commonly enjoyed with milk and sugar or on ice!

How Much Caffeine is in Your Beverage?

Do you find yourself drinking 2 cups of coffee and then a can of soda to keep up with your busy day? You can find caffeine in beverages you drink on a daily basis and you may not be aware of how many milligrams of caffeine is in each serving and how it affects your body. Here, we break down a few common beverages just for your reference compared to teas:

coffee-cup-1797283_640

Coffee is a popular drink among us all and please keep in mind that the caffeine levels we represent are for reference only and may vary depending on various factors such as grinding and brewing procedures. In a mug of brewed coffee (about 8 ounces) may contain between 95 mg to 200 mg of caffeine. What does that mean? Some side effects may include headaches, anxiety, an upset stomach as well as trouble sleeping.

Up garbage-1024806_640next we have Energy Drinks, you know, that fizzy drink that usually comes in an aluminum can. You will find 27 to 39 grams of sugar in an 8 ounce serving of a typical energy drink as well as synthetic caffeine between 6 mg to 242 mg per serving! Good luck trying to find some healthy ingredients in this beverage as there are little to no health benefits, so we recommend you avoid these if you’re looking for some energy. Some side effects may include restlessness, fast heartbeat and insomnia.

Next we have the beloved
Soda. This sugary drink is enjoyed by adults and children because of the sweet flavors, the fizziness and the caffeine. Not only is a typical 12 ounce can packed with unhealthy ingredients such as high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners and phosphor acid but it may contain between 16 to 55mg of caffeine. Similar to an energy drink, sodas do not offer any health benefits and have been blamed to cause weight gain and type 2 diabetes.

Lastly, onformosa-variety-packe of our favorite types of beverage whether it’s on ice or in a mug enjoyed hot, we have Tea. Roasted Oolong Tea 55-80mg
