Teasia Iced Jasmine Green Tea Mojito Recipe #7 of 8

Iced Jasmine Green Tea Mojito

We are down to two recipes left and they are really good ones. Today we have a mojito, yes we did say mojito. Who doesn’t love that lime & mint combo?

We’ve paired our Teasia Jasmine Green Tea K-Cups with the minty lime flavors of a mojito and we are in heaven! There’s nothing better than a cold iced tea with a splash of alcohol. YUM.

WHAT  YOU’LL NEED

2 Teasia Jasmine Green Tea K-Cups
1 Tablespoons Lime Juice
4 Mint Leaves
2 Teaspoons Sugar
1 ounce White Rum
Ice cubes

DIRECTIONS

  1. Brew your Teasia Jasmine Green Tea K-Cups as normal and set them in the fridge to cool. Make sure you use heat proof mugs/pitchers.
  2. In a tall glass,  muddle the mint, sugar and lime juice together until your kitchen (or our case office smells like mint).
  3. Fill your cup ¾ of the way with ice and add in your choice of white rum
  4. Add in your chilled Teasia Jasmine Green Tea

Stir & Enjoy! You can easily double this portion and have a get together with friends or you can just keep this recipe to yourself to enjoy (we won’t tell.)

Which recipe is your favorite so far? We have one more left to post tomorrow and it’ll be starring our Rooibos Lemongrass Kcup. Stay tuned!

Cook, Relax and Garden with Tea

Start your day with a nice hot cup of tea or brew some tea and add some honey and lemon to soothe a sore throat. Tea is not only meant for drinking, but have you tried to use it in other ways? There are many alternative uses for tea, and if you have any stale tea leaves laying around the cupboard or have our Teasia teas kcups, you can reuse the tea leaves inside for something useful around the house!

Below, you will find a few ideas on what how to use tea leaves for other purposes. If you have any household tea remedies you would like to share, please email us!

Cooking

Have you ever tried cooking using tea infused flavors? There are restaurants out there that use tea as an ingredient to flavor dishes or even tenderize proteins.

To tenderize meats, use our Teasia Black Tea for a few hours (best overnight) before you roast or grill the meat. Yum!

Seasoning: Ever wonder what you can do with already steeped tea leaves? Try our Teasia Oolong Tea or even Teasia Green Tea leaves to add some extra flavor to your morning breakfast omelet and add it to your favorite stir fry dish for dinner.

Now for our favorite, try adding your favorite tea flavor with cream to make ice cream. If you’re not feeling for a cold treat, try adding some coconut milk to your tea for a creamier texture or even your favorite fruit juice. The ideas are endless.

Removing Odor

Tired of buying expensive chemical filled spray to cover up odors in your home? The good news is that tea leaves are highly absorbent and will be to attract the smelly odor from your carpet in no time. Try to sprinkle some dried or steeped tea leaves (make sure they’re dry as you do not want to leave any drippy stains) on your carpet and let it sit for at least 20 minutes. Vacuum and you will notice the odors are long gone.

Gardening

Now we are moving onto the outdoors. Tea leaves are a great way to add nutrients naturally to your plants as well as helping out the environment in your compost pile.

The naturally acidic tea leaves will thoroughly be enjoyed by your plants . If you have tea bags that have been steeped, throw the whole thing into the pile. If you use our Teasia tea k-cups, you can open up the foil and take out the tea leaves (after brewing) and put it in your compost pile. You may also recycle the k-cup in the appropriate recycle bin.

An additional way to use tea leaves are when you water and feed your plants. If you have some extra tea in your mug, do not pour it down the drain. You may water your plants with the tea. After brewing your Teasia tea, open up the k-cup and use the steeped tea leaves to scatter across your garden or potted plant. This extra layer will help feed your plants naturally.
