Teasia Chai Latte

Chai LatteWhat better way to start the fall season than with a Chai Latte created with our very own k-cups. Are you looking to find the next trendy latte drink this season. Lets get the Fall started!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Chai Tea K-cups
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 whole clove
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 ½ cups milk

Instructions:

  1. Place the following items: water, spices, and k-cups (Tea removed from k-cups) into a saucepan till it boils. Let the ingredients boil together for about 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in the sugar and milk and return mixture to a boil. Keep an eye on the mixture and stir occasionally.
  3. Strain your chai latte mixture and pour into your favorite mug.
  4. Garnish your latte with a stick of cinnamon or a whole clove. Enjoy!

PRO TIP: For a coconut flavor, try substituting milk with coconut milk, which makes this lovely drink vegan friendly!

Teasia Genmaicha Almond Tea Latte Recipe Recipe #4 of 8

Genmaicha Ice Tea

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

2 Teasia Genmaicha Green Tea K-Cups
1 C Almond milk
¼ C brown sugar or brown rice syrup

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  1. Brew Teasia Genmaicha Green Tea K-Cups as usual and transfer to a large pitcher
  2. Add in your choice of sweetener to the pitcher
  3. Mix well
  4. Fill each of your cups with cubed or crushed ice
  5. Fill each glass with tea to the halfway point.
  6. Froth the milk
  7. Top each glass the rest of the way with frothed milk
  8. Enjoy!

PRO TIP: Substitute your favorite plant-based milk that’s unsweetened with vanilla to create a creamy vegan recipe!

Latte of Ice Cream Cake

ice cream latteeRing in the New Year with this recipe!  Want to change up your latte game? Consider making a Teasia Coffee (Panama Boquete) Ice Cream Cake. You’ll be the hit of the party with this wonderful tasting treat.

Ingredients:

1 19.5-ounce family size box brownie mix (additional required ingredients)
1 28-ounce container coffee ice cream
1 ½ tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons of Teasia Coffee Panama Boquete (ground)
Cooking Spray

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350o. Line a 9 by 13-inch pan with foil and coat with cooking spray. Prepare the brownie mix add Teasia Coffee Panama Boquete grounds into the brownie mix; pour into the pan and bake as directed. Let cool, then remove from the pan.

Cut out the three brownie circles: one the size of the bottom of the ice cream, one the size of the middle, and one for the top.

Carefully peel off the ice cream carton and remove the ice cream in one piece. Cut the ice cream in half crosswise.

Assemble the cake upside down on a baking sheet as shown; Put the largest brownie on the bottom, then the wider half of the ice cream, then the medium brownie, then the remaining ice cream, then the smallest one. Freeze for one hour.

There is a lot of talk in the coffee world about single origin coffee. Mostly the buzz is about finding out exactly what “single origin coffee” means. Many  are saying that single origin coffee is just coffee that is a product of one region, country or farm. Others have said that it is not just the one farm production that makes this coffee unique but the tractability of the coffee that really makes all the difference. As consumers know exactly where their coffee is from and how it’s handled before enjoying that cup of joe.

Typically because of the unique traceability factor. Single origin coffee tend to be higher quality but it is worth the higher price. Due to the fact that it is traced back to a single source, the coffee is usually very specific rather than a blend. This can really make the taste unique to the specific farm that it has come from.

Single origin coffee has become increasingly more popular and now a lot of consumers are buying more of it. They can find comfort in the fact that they can see straight on the label the farm, climate, people, land, and processing that relates directly to their personal bag of coffee. Even with people who wouldn’t exactly call themselves coffee connoisseurs the word on the street about single origin coffee really has them seeking it out.

What Milk Options Are There For Coffee?

Coffee&MilkVariations_Post.jpgAfter a long week of work, we just want to sit back and enjoy the weekend a bit especially with some comforting coffee.  Who likes their coffee black? We do, however, there are ways to add some variety to your coffee if you’re in the mood to try something creamy.  The regular go-to is whole milk or even skim milk but lets venture out of the box and try some other options! Try these different options below and it just may give you a whole new perspective on new layers of flavor in your favorite drink.

Whole Milk

Whole milk is readily available at all stores and gives you what you expect. Add a splash of whole milk to your coffee and enjoy the rich, creamy texture.  We love this option, but it’s not always great for your waistline coming in at 180 calories per 12 oz.

Skim (Fat Free)  Milk

Another common option is  Skim Milk, which also contains dairy like Whole milk but is only 100 calories per 12 oz. While skim milk is reduced in fat, you may not get that creamy texture you’re looking for in whole milk. Don’t forget to watch out for the flavored skim milks that has added sugars for flavor.

2% Milk (Low Fat)

This milk is popular because it’s a low-fat option, which is only 150 calories per 12 oz serving, making this a good compromise between Whole and Skim Milk. If you think Skim is too watery and Whole Milk is too creamy, opt for 2% in your coffee latte.

Almond Milk

Almond milk has received a lot of attention lately and we know why! This plant-based milk is a favorite for adding into our coffee and even enjoying it with a bowl of cereal. Whether you’re vegan or perhaps lactose intolerant, Almond Milk makes a good alternative to dairy milk. Almond milk is light and nutty and is only 80 calories per serving.

Soy Milk

Soy Milk is the classic non-dairy milk alternative. Soy gives coffee a creamy texture and is only 130 calories per serving. If you’re not accustomed to the soy flavor, we recommend trying vanilla flavored soy that’s unsweetened. Who doesn’t like a hint of vanilla flavor in their coffee?

Coconut Milk

Coconut Milk may be a hit or miss with us. If you love anything coconut flavored, then this is your dairy-free alternative. Coconut is a great alternative to grabbing that half and half because it is rich and creamy. Each serving is only 110 calories.

12 Days of Recipes: No. 4 – Honey Chamomile Mint Tea Latte

Do you love cozying up with a huge mug full of tea? Of course! It’s Day 4 of our 12 Days of Recipes and we are sharing our Honey Chamomile Mint Tea Latte. This nighttime treat will consist of a good amount of relaxation to help you unwind after a long Monday day. Chamomile tea isn’t called sleepy time tea for no reason. Teasia Chamomile Mint Tea K-Cups.

One of our lovely staff members, Lindsay is sharing her story about her Chamomile Mint Tea routine today: “Before I found this recipe and my love for Teasia Chamomile Mint Tea I was heading to my favorite coffee shop on my way home from work daily just to get my nighttime routine started. At $4.99 a cup, this “routine” was turning into an expensive habit. The best part about this recipe is that it’s so inexpensive, convenient and delicious.”

Honey

What you’ll need:

1 Teasia Chamomile Mint Tea K-Cup
¼ Cup milk
2 Teaspoons honey
Cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Brew your Teasia Chamomile Mint Tea K-Cup as normal (remember, this tea is caffeine-free!)
  2. While your Teasia Tea is brewing, mix together milk and honey
  3. Froth your milk and honey.
  4. Once your tea is ready add milk and honey, stir
  5. Top with cinnamon
  6. Enjoy!

Pro Tip:

If you do not have an espresso machine lying around, add your warm milk to a jar with a secure lid, shake and abracadabra, frothed milk! (Careful to not burn your fingers, always use a kitchen towel to hold jar before shaking).
