Day 2: Green Tea

I try to have at least one cup of green tea every day and I prefer this while working or enjoying a good book. What I enjoy most is the earthy blend of this Teasia tea. This blend is more flavorful than those I find in the grocery store. I like to use the K-cup twice before throwing it out, that’s how great of quality these are.

Flavor Highlights: Green tea is already a great go-to tea because of its’ health benefits and antioxidants, not to mention I definitely felt that caffeine boost after having a cup. This tea is enjoyable with honey and lemon.

The next tea that I’m trying is going to be Oolong Tea! I’m pretty excited about it so stay tuned.

Classic Deviled Eggs

Summer time BBQ’s are always great, but what’s a good treat to bring to that BBQ potluck you’re invited to? Deviled eggs are such a fun simple treat for everyone to enjoy, not to mention are extremely simple to make. The most time-consuming portion of this recipe is boiling he eggs! Presentation is key for this dish as well so don’t be afraid to use a piping bag opposed to a spoon. Once you get the technique down this will be a party favorite for you to make.

Ingredients:
6 Eggs
¼ cup of Mayonnaise
1 tsp White Vinegar
1 tsp Yellow Mustard
1/8 tsp Salt
Ground Black Pepper
Spanish Smoked Paprika

Instructions:

  1. Place eggs in saucepan making sure water is above 1.5 inches from eggs
  2. Heat uncovered on high until water begins to boil
  3. Once boiling, cover pan turning heat to low for 1 minute
  4. Remove from stovetop and leave covered for 15 minutes
  5. Rinse under cold water for approximately 1 minute
  6. Place eggs in ice cold water fo2-3 minutes
  7. Crack eggs individually running under cold water
  8. Gently pat dry with paper towel
  9. Slice eggs in half
  10. Remove egg-yolks into a medium bowl
  11. Place egg-whites on serving platter
  12. Mix mustard, salt, vinegar, pepper, and mayonnaise mashing yolks well
  13. Scoop egg-yolk mix into a piping bag with tip design of your choice
  14. Evenly pipe egg-yolks into egg-whites
  15. Sprinkle paprika and enjoy!

PRO TIP:  The fresher the eggs, the harder they are to peel. Choose eggs that are 4-6 days older.

Weekend Detox Elixir Recipe

This recipe is great for when you need to clean out your system a bit because you’ve been eating junk food or are going to too many BBQs because summer is here. That’s OK because we have something tasty and easy to make and it’s super good for you too.

Here’s some background about the health benefits of the ingredients we are going to use for this recipe.

Lemon – Stay cool and feel refreshed with lemons. This citrus fruit has wonderful benefits that nourish your body such as vitamins C, B6, A, and E. You can also find: folate, niacin thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, copper, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, phosphorus and protein.

What do you need:

Juicer
1 medium beet, washed and peeled, cut into quarters
2 lemons, washed and peeled, cut into slices
1 carrot, washed and peeled, cut into coins
1 kcup of Teasia Tea Green Tea warm (if you want more tea, brew it a second time!)

Optional: ice cubes for something colder

Simple Steps:

  1. Brew 1 kcup of Teasia Green Tea and set aside.
  2. Juice all the ingredients above excluding the tea.
  3. Add tea and mix well.

  1. Strongly brew your Teasia Green Tea and set it aside to cool
  2. Add about 2 squirts of aloe vera gel to your spray bottle
  3. Add your Teasia Green Tea, and about 10-30 drops of peppermint essential oil and shake until everything is all mixed together.
  4. Spray and see if the cooling effect is strong enough for you, if not add a couple more drops of peppermint essential oil.
  5. This spray is going to smell so good you will be obsessed and using it nonstop.

Ice Cream Teasia Floats

There is no better way to celebrate a hot summer day or any other day with our decadent creation. Ice Cream and Tea, a duo you normally don’t see paired together. After this recipe you’ll wonder why not! The most perfect summer treat for when you want something creamy and delicious.

What you’ll need:

Two Tablespoons of Teasia Rose Black Tea
½  cup of water
⅛ cup of sugar
Vanilla Ice Cream (French Vanilla Bean is our favorite)
Seltzer Water
Rainbow Sprinkles (Optional but encouraged!)

One of our favorite parts about this recipe is how simple it is!

Directions:

  1. Bring both the water and sugar to a boil on the stove, once the sugar dissolves, take the mixture off the heat and steep the tea for five minutes
  2. Pour 2 tablespoons of tea into a tall glass. (Prepare your Teasia kcup as you normally would.)
  3. Fill till the halfway mark with seltzer water
  4. Scoop ice cream till your cup is full!
  5. Optional: Sprinkle a little too many rainbow sprinkles on top
  6. Beat the heat and enjoy!

Summertime Fruit Snacks

Summer is still here and we are constantly looking for some healthy snacks to help cancel out is such a treat and it can always be enjoyed on the go which is a real bonus when you’re busy with your summer activities. The best part about my summertime fruit treats are that you can enjoy fruit in so many different ways so it never feels like the same old boring snack. Today we are  sharing a couple different ways to enjoy fruit!

SNACK ONE: Frozen Grapes

We love freezing grapes overnight in the freezer. This helps give that cold refreshing Popsicle taste with all natural sugars.grapes

PRO TIP:

We also like to take these frozen grapes and throw them in my sangria or white wine to mimic ice cubes. It helps keep things super cold without watering down the drink.  Perfect for those warm summer nights!

SNACK TWO: Apple Cinnamon Ginger Chips

If you love cinnamon tortilla chips, then you will love these chips.

  1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Peel, core and slice your apples a quarter inch thick (we like granny smith apples).
  3. Bring water to a boil on your stove.
  4. Once boiled add a cinnamon stick.
  5. Drop apple slices in an let boil for 5 minutes. Pat apples dry.
  6. In a separate bowl mix equal parts ground cinnamon, ground ginger and curry powder.
  7. Toss the apple slices in mixture and then pop them in the oven for about two hours or until you see the edges start to turn up.

Make a big batch ahead of time and you can have the most delicious sweet and crunchy snack this summer!

SNACK THREE: Strawberry S’mores

If you don’t have time to toast a marshmallow over the fire this summer you need to try this recipe. Try this at home! Here’s a  fruit fused s’more that is bound to cure your sweet tooth.

Start here:

  1. Take marshmallows and cut them in half and cut the tops off of strawberries.
  2. Take one half of a marshmallow and toothpick it in place on top of a strawberry.
  3. Melt milk chocolate in a bowl, and in a separate bowl crush graham crackers into crumbs.
  4. Holding the toothpick, dip the strawberries in milk chocolate and then dip them straight into the graham cracker crumbs.
  5. Once finished, refrigerate them and let them set for about an hour or two.

Teasia Iced Rooibos Lemongrass Sangria Recipe #8 of 8 (Non-Alcoholic)

Rooibos Lemongrass Sangria Tea Here we are, the last recipe of our Teasia Iced Tea Summer Recipe Series. Don’t forget to let us know which ones you’ve tried and which one is your absolute favorite! We had a great time making them in the office and had a great photo shoot. Thanks for taking the time to try all of our recipes.

So for our last recipe, we have an iced sangria. This recipe we made for our whole company and it was definitely a hit! Many people may not have heard about the Rooibos Lemongrass tea and I don’t think we’ve ever tried making a sangria out of this tea either until now. Take note that we made a non-alcoholic version perfect for an office party as well as kid-friendly too.

Our perfect Sangria’s main star ingredient is our Teasia Rooibos Lemongrass Tea K-Cups

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

8 Teasia Rooibos Lemongrass Tea K-Cups
4 cups water
2 cups white grape juice
Your favorite sliced fruit (we used peaches, pineapple and mixed berries)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Brew Teasia Rooibos Lemongrass K-cups  and pour into a heat-safe container or glass pitcher.
  2. Add white grape juice and mix with a wooden spoon. Set aside to cool.
  3. Slice your fruit and add into tea.  Let fruit soak for at least two hours in the refrigerator. Serve cold and on ice.

Remember, this recipe is 100% alcohol-free and kid-friendly too.

Teasia Classic Sweet Tea Recipe #6 of 8

We are coming down to the home stretch of our Teasia Summer Iced Tea Recipe Series where we share 8 different tea recipes in 8 straight days using our 8 flavors.

We didn’t forget everyone’s favorite classic ice tea recipe. We have a super simple recipe that we have adapted from southern sweet tea recipes to share with you today. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

5  kcups of  Teasia’s Black Iced Tea (you can brew each kcup twice and you won’t lose flavor!)
1 cup unbleached cane sugar
Ice Cubes

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Brew  Teasia Black Iced Tea  as directed. Note: You can brew each kcup twice without losing flavor.
  2. Add sugar. Mix.
  3. Add ice cubes.

That’s it!

Here’s what we did. We let the tea cool down and then transferred the tea into a pitcher of ice before lunch.  We now know why the South loves their sweet tea so much.  It’s completely different adding cane sugar and letting it dissolve rather than just adding sugar to your iced tea. Don’t forget to add a slice of lemon for garnish and you can even add some slices in there too.
