Many people may not have heard about the Rooibos Lemongrass tea and I don’t think we’ve ever tried making a sangria out of this tea either until now. Take note that we made a non-alcoholic version perfect for an office party as well as kid-friendly too.

Our perfect Sangria’s main star ingredient is our Teasia Rooibos Lemongrass Tea K-Cups

Teasia Classic Sweet Tea Recipe #6 of 8

Class Teasia Sweet Tea

We are coming down to the home stretch of our Teasia Summer Iced Tea Recipe Series where we share 8 different tea recipes in 8 straight days using our 8 flavors.

We didn’t forget everyone’s favorite classic ice tea recipe. We have a super simple recipe that we have adapted from southern sweet tea recipes to share with you today.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

5  kcups of  Teasia’s Black Iced Tea (you can brew each kcup twice and you won’t lose flavor!)
1 cup unbleached cane sugar
Ice Cubes

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Brew  Teasia Black Iced Tea  as directed. Note: You can brew each kcup twice without losing flavor.
  2. Add sugar. Mix.
  3. Add ice cubes.

That’s it!

Here’s what we did. We let the tea cool down and then transferred the tea into a pitcher of ice before lunch.  We now know why the South loves their sweet tea so much.  It’s completely different adding cane sugar and letting it dissolve rather than just adding sugar to your iced tea. Don’t forget to add a slice of lemon for garnish and you can even add some slices in there too.

Celebrate World Environment Day

Every year on June 5th, it’s important to take the time to recognize World Environment Day. This year Canada is hosting the event. They have chosen “Connecting People to Nature” as this year’s theme. Since 1972, World Environment Day has been bringing people together all around the globe to take part in causes such as, cleaning up the oceans, planting trees and discussing the effects of climate change.

Blue Skies

This year’s theme is all about motivating everyone to spend more time outside and to enjoy and observe nature. To be connected with nature in a more intimate way.

National park fees are either being waived or reduced to encourage you to go outside! Whether or not you are in Canada, remember to take a step outside and admire what nature has to offer us.

Some fun outdoor activities are:

  • Finding shapes in clouds
  • Hiking to the peak of a mountain
  • Skipping Rocks in a lake

What other outdoor activities do you enjoy alone, with a friend and with family members?

Here at Teasia, we believe everyday should be World Environment Day. We are committed to helping change the world we live in for the better. Teasia processes all of our teas naturally so that you can enjoy nature at its finest through every brewed leaf. We know that when you put good in, you get good out. We are also passionate about supporting charities who support the environment. A portion of all of our proceeds are always donated towards charities in the areas of environment, education, healthcare and poverty. Some of the environmental charities we partner with include: Arbor Day Foundation, Waste Ventures and, The Nature Conservancy, to name a few.

Use June 5th as a jump start to the beginning of your close relationship with nature. Go barefoot, have a picnic with your family and watch for stars at night.Remember to take the time to say thank you for how much this planet has given to us. “From your backyard to your favorite national park, nature is closer than you think. It’s time to get out and enjoy it.”
